With snow on the ground and high 30 degree temp the proud few invited souls made the trip to Pembroke for this fun third annual event, Beer and Deer Fest.

Trillium was the winning brewery today with five entries and two beers on the podium. Trilliums Quad IPA was a standout for many reasons. Besides the Everest high 13% alcohol content the amazing drinkability of this beer was above all was the best. Stellwagon Beer Company and it’s amazing Double IPA with lactose had most talking about it’s unique drinking profile.

There was a bit of shenanigans with some habaneros being roasted and then folks being challenged to “try them”. Luckily no one was hurt during this part of the event, but there are a few missing kids cups and we need to buy some more milk for the kido.

Results are in!! Everyone who came was allowed to enter two beers to the Beerfest. Each person who entered beers had five votes to place on any type, anyones and any beer.

John enjoyed the big check and cash in his pocket. Remember John, you have the rare opportunity to bring this one back next year. Good luck beating back the crowds to get one.

Kai, was here on his rookie campaign and took full advantage. He brought in the Stellwagon Tangrine-sicle DIPA(2nd Place). We have no doubt he will make good use of the tiny shot glass boot here. Bring the Buffalo Chicken dip next Kai, leave that Coal hat behind.

This guy who will remain nameless for security reasons, clear knows how to strike a pose. The double popped collar, sunglasses (on a cloudy day), a smile that could brighten a darkroom and three bean nacho dip all came together to complete our podium winners with his Trillium Scaled Way Up DIPA. He has committed to beer brewing at home and intends on suppling us all with a case of his own beer next year. You better get to work Cam. Oops.
Looking forward to the 2020 Crooked Antler Beer and Deer Fest.
